Following the ELSE Massive Open Online Course (MOOC), the face-to-face session for the second edition of the ELSE training programme was held in September 2024.
During the session, early and mid-career managers engaged in a series of comprehensive lectures, practical exercises, and case studies, as well as debriefing discussions, to deepen their understanding of Leadership for Safety. The training programme covered a wide range of key topics, including the History of leadership in safety, Ethics, Mindfulness, Project Complexity, Risk Management, and Organisational Structure and Design.
This face-to-face component of the programme aimed to build on the theoretical knowledge acquired through the MOOC, providing trainees with the opportunity to engage in interactive learning and develop the practical skills essential for effective leadership in nuclear safety.
