At the 4th IAEA International Conference, held in Russia, J. Repussard presented a paper focusing on leadership for safety in Education and Training. This presentation addressed the critical role of effective leadership in fostering a safety culture within the nuclear industry.
Nuclear power can make a significant contribution to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and achieving energy security and sustainable development. To ensure safe, secure and sustainable operations of nuclear facilities, continuous training and effective management of staff is vital. This includes improving the performance of the current workforce, retaining specialised knowledge and training the next generation of professionals.
