SENSSEtt addresses the needs and priorities for capacity building in operations and regulation for nuclear facilities through education, innovative training and tutoring programmes for graduates and for professionals -early and mid-career managers.
Safety and Safeguards related Competencies in Nuclear Operations, Decommissioning Projects and Safeguards Implementation
SENSSEtt aims to foster knowledge and comprehensive safety- and safeguards-related competencies and further disseminates capabilities for the successful management and leadership for safety in Nuclear Operations (NO), Nuclear Decommissioning Projects (NDP), as well as for the improvement of the efficiency of the actions in the field of Nuclear Safeguards (NS).
Certified Master-Level Diploma in Leadership and Management for Safety and Safeguards
SENSSEtt primarily addresses the needs of:
1) country candidates as EU Member States;
2) neighbourhood countries of the EU;
3) the rest of INSC countries except 5 states non signatories to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT).
The training programmes will also be made available to all IAEA member states, thus providing the nuclear sector industry, and regulating institutions with recognised and certified Master-Level University Diplomas in the field of Leadership and Management for Safety and Safeguards.

Gaining a deep understanding of management and leadership for safety practices in the context of nuclear dismantling projects to further develop a target and practice oriented, scientific-based training and education for the actors involved in the decommissioning of nuclear power plants.
Safeguards Training and
Education
Providing a high-quality E&T programme in the field of “nuclear safeguards” and to exchange experiences between the EU and partner countries by offering opportunities for training and education for the staff, or potential future staff, of these organisations involved in conducting inspections facilitating the fulfilment of the countries’ international safeguards obligations.
